Beams of light pushed through the topmost branches of the pine trees, finally filtering through like so many tendrils of golden steam. Each one of them landed on a different section of ground, and so sufficiently illuminated the dark undersides of the trees. Not many a mouse was scurrying about there, from the lack of protective bushes, and the appaling abundance of fresh pine needles, their acid substance seeping into the ground at a slow but measured pace. The soft rustle of spindly spikes echoed in the empty hallways formed by the pines, signalling the presence of an animal in the whereabouts, or telling all that the wind was picking up. But the branches high above were not moving, and no wave of dead or dying needles swept upon the ground. Something had come. Accompanied by a startled squawck and a rush of feathers, a fierce yowl soon followed the sound of crunching, rock-hard ground, renting the previous silence in the shadowy forest. But the terrible yell was not one of pain, no; more what a creature expresses when they have accomplished something. Yes, that was it: a cry of triumph. Soul bent her head to pick up the sparrow by its broken spine, the usual satisfied smile on her face. She flicked her orange ear to dislodge the fly that had alighted there, and carefully picked a feather off of the dead bird. This was a sort of ritual for her. She'd always done it, from the first time she had killed a chaffinch and the idea appeared in her head. She would kill a bird, take one of its feathers and plant it in the ground. Since she'd done that, it was as if her bird hunting skills had increased greatly. Or maybe it was just a matter of chance. She would only know if she stopped, and Soul, being her natural wary self, would never chance it. After having probed the feather firmly into the ground, the tabby she-cat looked around, searching for a place to put her prey. A hole in the thick roots of one gigantic old pine caught her eye, and she nodded silently as she padded to it. Pushing the needles, fresh and old, away, she set the small catch into the makeshift hole she had created.

Sunpelt jumped infront of Soul, trying to surprise her. "Hey! That was a nice catch!" Sunpelt exclaimed, trying to seem more enthusiastic than she felt. Maybe she could share her secret with Soul. No. She couldn't. Sunpelt's smile faded quickly, but she did not notice it so. How could she tell Soul something, when it could involve something bigger? Sunpelt slid her paw against the ground, a patch of sand moving beneath the friction. "Listen... Can you keep a secret?" Sunpelt said quietly. She listened to a few sparrows flutter by, and a robin hop around, but she shunned the temtation. Sunpelt eagerly awaited an answer from her Clanmate. Sunpelt wasn't even sure if she knew what she was talking about. What would happen, if Soul blabbed to the entire Clan, and Sunpelt was imagining things? What would happen then? Sunpelt shook her head, and tried to erase the thought.

At the sound of Sunpelt's voice, Soul jumped and whirled around to face her opponent, hackles raised as high as they could. Fangs were bared in an aggressive snarl and pupils dilated to mere slits, she let a powerful hiss escape her lips. It took her a moment to see that this feline was from her own Clan. Letting her hackles lower and slipping her lips over her lips again, she kept her eyes narrowed in suspicion. She only acted all that nice when many were around to see it. One single cat did not matter. "Yeah, sure," she answered, a single crimson-tipped ear flicking to dislodge yet another fly. She turned her back to the other she-cat, plainly showing that she did not really want to be bothered by this seemingly over-enthusiastic feline. However, when she whispered of a secret, a sly grin crept over Soul's face. She let the smirk slip off her maw before turning once more, and mewed in a smooth voice to the she-cat. "Of course I can. What is it?" Her eyebrows raised in a curious but questioning manner, it was difficult to say if she was truly worried for the feline or just wanted to gain something.

Sunpelt leaned closer to Soul. "You can't tell a... well... soul, Soul." Sunpelt whispered. "And your probably going to think I am insane for this, but I think I saw a cat, whom was not from a clan." Sunpelt mimmered. "It had black eyes, and a black pelt, but I think I was just imagining things, because there is no way that anybody wouldn't have found out about them yet. It may have just been a shadow, but I am positive I know what I saw." Sunpelt finished. Her eyes glowed with curiosity of the other she-cat's reply. Would she keep the secret? Or just think that Sunpelt was so insane, that there was no point in talking to her? Or even worse, tell the leader. If Soul blabbed to the whole camp, and it turned out that it WAS just a shadow, they would send her to the medicine cat's den to be checked, or even send her away! Sunpelt shivered at the thought of it. Trying to hide her fear, she noticed the little chaffinch behind Soul. She shunned the thought away (with difficulty), and looked straight into Soul's eyes, as if she was attempting to burn a hole through her soul, just to show how serious Sunpelt was being right now.

Graystreak wanted to win Shatteredheart's love, so he wanted to make her jelous, so he would flirt with Sunpelt. She was pretty, his blue eyes looking as if they where small skies. He looked at her, his pelt not showing with the tree he was by. He whispered to then in a haunting voice " Whatching... YOU!"
Graystreak padded over to them and rubbed his fur along Sunpelt's fur. He cuddled with her, and let out a purr. He whispered to her " Lets me somewhere.. alone.." He looked at her in cute eyes. Saying ' Come on.. Lets go.. Nothing wrong..' He looked again at her. He hoped she would not slap him with her tail.
Graystreak purred loudly, and then rapped his tail along hers. He looked with his heart at her, and hoped she would too, seeing a loving tom.

;D Sunpelt was slightly shocked by the tom's arrival, but the flattery made her blush. (can cats even blush? ) Sunpelt nodded, and shrugged to Soul, who had not yet replied. What had the gray tom been thinking? Sunpelt barely knew Graystreak! Sunpelt shrugged the idea away, turning around. She waited for Graystreak to follow her. Soon Sunpelt even forgot that Soul was even there. She walked some ways through the Tall Pines, hoping that Graystreak would follow her. "What an interesting day!" Sunpelt thought. She had seen Graystreak before, but she never knew... well... yeah. Sunpelt waited for Graystreak to catch up, and realized she had left Soul behind.

((Yup)) Graystreak was behind her and thought ' With my fight with Shatteredheart, I do not want her anymore!' He wanted this She-Cat. He was only a apprentice when he had fallen in love with the she-cat. Now he was a warrior.
He then said " I am changing my name to Rainshadow Sunpelt. My great-grandmother was Runningrain, and my great-grandfather was Lynxspirit and Skunkstripe. I inhearited loyalty from her, and good from the toms." He nodded at this. He was a good cat. He had to be or else the Clan might not think that he is loyal!
Graystreak's gray pelt quivered as they headed for Tall Pines. He did not like that part of the forest one bit! Graystreak now was up to the warrior she-cat and purred. She was pretty, and nice. He wanted to know what she thought of this new name...
((Hehehhe, my Tamagotchi V3s are dancing, they are getting married today! Hehehe...))

(lol. That is hilarious! ) Sunpelt purred. "I think that Rainshadow is a wonderful name!" Sunpelt exclaimed. She smiled. The sun was out today, which made her pelt seem even more golden then usual. Suddenly Sunpelt stopped, and hissed. She crouched low to the ground, and yelled to Graystreak, "Get out of the way!" They didn't have much time. Suddlenly, what Sunpelt was hissing at ran through the bushes. A two-leg kit. "Run, and It can't keep up!" Sunpelt yowled, racing towards the bushes. Sunpelt didn't have time to think if Graystreak was behind her. She skidded to a stop, and turned around, anxious to see if Graystreak had escaped the obnoxious twirp's grasp. She heard a squeal of delight from the Two-leg kit, but of course, Two-leg kits are so unpredictable, it may have been frustration too.

((HAHAHHAHA! THEY ARE KISSING TE SCREEN!)) Graystreak was hissing at it. Graystreak started to claw the leg. The two-leg kit screamed and started crying. Graystreak hissed again at it. This time, the mother hit Graystreak in the head.
Graystreak twitched his tail slowly, then he cried in agony. It hurt. He needed a medicine cat! He go up and then snarled at it, and bit into the mother's paw. She cried and ran away.
Graystreak went to his (Mate of friend) friend or mate, he did not know what, and called " I'm OK! I just need some time.. to recover!" He sighed. Graystreak's tabby gray pelt was ruffled up and he was in a tight ball. He hoped that that two-leg kit did not come back! That is why Graystreak hates Tall Pines. He spat on the ground and said " My mother told me that a monster is what two-legs call.. a car... My Great-granma found that out." He said Car in Two-leg launguage. He smiled and then said it again and again.

Sunpelt cocked her head to one side, hoping that Graystreak would be alright. But when he started saying car in the unfamiliar tongue, she laughed. He had a wonderful sense of humor in her opinion. When Sunpelt tried to say it, it ended up something like- Care or Cayr. "Hey, do you want to go to the sunning rocks, just in case that no-good Two-leg kit comes back?" Sunpelt asked him. "And do you need a medicine cat? It looked like you got a fairly bad hit to the head." Sunpelt inquired. She was worried that he might be hurt. (sorry. I can't think of what else to say! ) (ha ha. ^^)

Graystreak nodded no. Graystreak smile meekly. He loved his new mate now. He loved her with all his heart. He tried getting up but could not. He tried again. He could not. His tabby pelt quivered madly. He wanted up now! Graystreak hissed at the ground. He then snorted, and got up.
