"Are you sure?" Sunpelt asked, nudging him with her nose. She worried for him, as any cat would. They were very close to the Sunningrocks now, and had left the Tall Pines far behind. (going to go post a thread at Sunning Rocks. Sorry this is so short, but I was just leaving sooooo)

Soul watched the two cats walk away, smug in the trust that Sunpelt had placed upon her shoulders. She now knew the she-cat's secret. It gave her an advantage if she was ever to get on her nerves or annoy her in any way. A slight whisper here and there, and the news would spread through the Clan like wildfire. Becoming aware of the presence of the thrush behind her, the tabby feline whirled around and pinned the creature to the ground, killing it with one quick bite. The prey here was so weak, Soul found it pathetic. The smirk once again present on her maw, she buried the bird next to the other prey she had caught. Just one last look around the shadowed trunks of the trees, and she would return to camp. As her paws carried her in a wide circle around her previous place, her mind ran over the information she had collected. She had also heard of an entirely ebony cat hiding somewhere out in the forest. The rumours had been accompanied by the name of Nightclan, a group of killer cats thought only to exist in myths. Soul had not believed in it at first, thinking that it was just one more story to add to the hundreds that the soft-hearted elders told to the kits. But this confrmed the doubts she had held since the last moon. Nightclan may actually exist. Another thought, tempting and sweet, wandered into her mind. Should I join them?
