Name: Hazelfern
Do you honor?: Yes
Age: 8 seasons
Gender: She-cat
Appearance: Hazelfern has a beautifully thick coat, with almost all shades of brown. Looking at her from an aerial view, you’d see a light brown coat, varying in shades here and there slightly. For an overcoat, there is a pattern of deep, deep brown stripes that are almost black, and cover nearly all over her back, leaving little room for the undercoat to show. On her back right leg, the stripes stay to the front of the leg, and loosen out near the rear of her leg, allowing a softer fawn brown to show. The inner part of her leg is simply a fawn-white color mix. On the high part of her thigh, the soft and dark brown fur stops, and white shows through. Just below the joint on the same leg, there is a patch of the same dark brown, almost in a diamond shape. Near the edges of that diamond, there is a thin line of lighter brown, but so little that it is indistinct. Her back left leg is the same as the other back leg, only the patch is a fawn color, just like her undercoat. Under her tail is all a fawn brown color near her rump. About a quarter away down her tail, the dark, dark brown stripes again take effect, only this time appear to be somewhat rings, like a raccoon’s tail. Her front two legs are nearly identical. Just above the paw line is where the stripes stop, and white again appears. Her legs, the part that’s striped, have lighter stripes, and on her left leg, there is an extremely light ring of hazel that is halfway down the leg. Hazelfern’s head shows more of the light brown undercoat, and has some darker stripes on each side of her face and on her forehead. These stripes are very unlike the stripes on the rest of her body, in that they are thin. She has two large ears, each tipped with a small tuft of dark brown, and the packs of her ears are also this same brown. The tufts look like a lynx’s somewhat, but she is no where near related to one. Starting at her muzzle, and extending all the way to the fur between her two back legs, is white fur. This white fur is especially full on her chest area. However, just behind her two front legs, there is a soft strip of brown, the same color as that stripe on her front left leg, looking somewhat like a harness. Her eyes are a mix of gold and hazel, and are usually widened in curiosity.
RP Example:
Hazelfern stalked through the underbrush, her pawsteps making nary a sound. Her white belly fur brushed close to the ground, dirt seeming to stick to it. That was the difficulties of long fur. You had to keep grooming it, or within a week, you’d have fur the color of a dark night. Her golden eyes scanned the glade, searching for the fresh-kill she had come here for. Keen ears tipped in a dark black swiveled this way and that, searching for the scuttle of prey, soon to be fresh-kill. Suddenly, Hazelfern had the unmistakable sense of another being nearby, and not one small enough to be prey. She crouched even lower, here amber optics widening in fear. Hazelfern blinked, clearing her mind of such thoughts, so as not to alert the thing with her fear-scent. She narrowed her eyes, and thought, If it’s a fox, or a badger, I’ll chase it off! Hazelfern prowled forward, growing nearer to the scent every moment. A musky smell of vole washed over her for a moment, but she paid no mind, her thoughts focused on her target, this unknown scent. Then again, she was in a patch of heather now, and it would be difficult to scent anything, friend or foe, but Hazelfern’s mind was not focused on that now. She was focused on chasing the intruder out. She heard a loud movement to her left, and suddenly, there was an explosion of dusty amber fur on her left flank. Thinking quickly, she flipped the intruder off her back, and turned to give him a nasty bite, one that would send any sane warrior scurrying for home. Oddly, she recognized the panting bundle of fur, and called off her rage. “Desertfire?” she asked.
Clan: ShadowClan
Rank: Queen (Regularly, Warrior)
Breed: Norwegian Forest Cat
Personality: Hazelfern has many swinging moods. Sometimes she will be sweet and happy, others she will be frustrated and angry. For the most part, she is happy, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a compliment from her. She can become angered very easily, especially now that she has kits soon to be born. When they are born, she will treat them with love and kindness, and won’t hesitate to compliment them.
History:
Kit
Hazelkit was born into the ShadowClan nursery, just like every other kit in the Clan. She was loved by all her nurserymates, and she longed to become an apprentice of ShadowClan. Some days, she would wander from the nursery while every one else was sleeping, looking for adventure. Unfortunately, she never made it past the apprentice’s den before a warrior or an apprentice caught her. One day when she was 3 moons old, she saw the leader for the first time. (She had been blind when the leader first visited, and all the other times, she was asleep) She was playing as usual in front of the Nursery, and her ball of moss that she was playing with was hit farther away, and accidentally bumped into the leader. Of course, Hazelkit bounded over to get it and accidentally ran into the leader. Hazelkit didn’t know that that cat was her leader, and was quite rude to the cat, until she figured it out. For quite a while, she was very shy around her leader.
Apprentice
Her 6 moon in this world came and went, and she became Hazelpaw. She was apprenticed to a warrior who later died in a battle with ThunderClan. She mourned his death greatly, and still misses him. He trained her to be a great warrior, and she had a perfect hunting crouch. Unfortunately, she was also very good at fighting. She didn’t like this about herself, because she hated to fight.
Warrior
When she turned 12 moons, she finally became a warrior, and took the name Hazelfern. Her coat had grown full and lusterous. Roughly a season later, she took notice of Desertfire. He was a young warrior, like herself, and had become a warrior only a few moons before she had. They never really noticed each other until the day that they were hunting, and happened to bump into each other. After many moons of getting to know each other, they slowly became mates, and soon Hazelfern realized she was pregnant.
Queen
Hazelfern has just recently moved into the nursery, and she has taken to a slower lifestyle. She has been in the nursery for a full moon now, and can’t wait to escape it.
