Because I am going to be gone most of the summer, I've talked with the admins and decided to leave my medicine cat with a babysitter. This would mean that someone would effectively roleplay Marbleface, Windclan's Medicine Cat, until August 25. At that point, I am definitely back for good, and would take back the character. This would be a good experiance for a new (but experienced roleplayer) to show the admins they are responsible, and get a feel for what roleplaying a ranking character is like. My only requirement for the person is that they be a fairly skilled writer (though that shouldn't be a problem on this site!) Because my parents only just gave me the dates, I've had to do this on very short notice. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but believe me, this is one of the easiest auditions you'll ever find because of it ^_^ If you already roleplay on this site, simply copy/paste a roleplay that you have already done, as an example of what skill level you are. If you do not have any characters yet, then write a two or three paragraph roleplay with marbleface as an example. If you do not have any characters yet then I will be judging you solely on this roleplay. Please have your auditions turned in by evening on the 30th (east coast time)Marbleface's Bio: Marbleface is a black and white short-haired cat, with deep green eyes. He is getting old, and likes to complain about the younger generation and his joints sometimes ache. All in all though, he is still healthy and quite able to do his job. He was once an alley cat, which makes him a bit different from other Medicine Cats, since he didn't grow up among cats who believed in Starclan. But he was accepted by Windclan at a young age, about four seasons old, and there are few cats who remember a time when he was not Medicine Cat. He devoutly believes in Starclan, and is knowledgeable about the wild herbs, and that is all that matters to Windclan. I know I'm asking a lot in very little time, but I hope you'll be up it ^_^

I'd love to babysit him for you, you gave me hope Bluedancer, but there's a reason one player gets just one leader cat or medicine cat, I have Bengalpelt. I don't know if I'd be allowed to care for two medicine cats at once. (( Would I guys? )) I'm not going to try out unless I know for sure.

Okay then, here's a roleplay of my Thunderclan warrior Snowmark having a bad day, this will be my roleplay example. Snowmark Lonely « Thread Started on Jun 27, 2006, 7:03pm »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun was sinking slowly down into the horizon, the glimmer of silverpelt was just now started to show itself in the sky above. The weather was peaceful, with no clouds to cover up a cat's view of the stars. Yet even in this serene place all felt cold for one certain Thunderclan tom, Snowmark. It was in late new leaf, very close to green leaf, it was warm and humid out, slowly cooling down as night approached slowly but still the cat felt as if he were buried in ice cold snow. Lately he'd been thinking hard about his dead mother, who his father may be, he wondered if there were any cats alive out there that he could truly call his kin. Thunderclan had no knowledge of whom his father was, he wondered with a strike of fear if he was a half-clan cat, if he found he was he would never be treated the same again but he didn't know and neither did Thunderclan so they didn't treat him any different from any other pure clan cat, thankfully. He had no siblings, no mother, no father, because of this, despite his whole clan being there he felt incredibly alone. This feeling made him very quiet around others, speaking only when spoken to, he had no mate to turn to for comfort in these times his heart feels broken. Will I ever stop feeling so lonely?! I have Starclan and Thunderclan... He thought to himself, staring up at silverpelt. Now he felt a wave of jealousy wave over him. Every star is a warrior cat, look how many there are! They have each other to be with! He turned his gaze away from the twinkling stars and looked around. There could be adders anywhere now, though they wouldn't be coming up to sun themselves, they'd come up to hunt. His life could be in danger if he failed to see one and accidentally stepped on it while trying to leave Snake Rocks. For some reason the Thunderclan cat didn't care right now if he was bitten, he'd join Starclan, see his mother and maybe even meet his father. No, don't think like that you stupid mouse brain, Starclan knows, Thunderclan doesn't need a suicidal warrior! He growled to himself and stood up. I will stay with my clan and protect it, even at the cost of my own life. He thought to himself. Now he faced a slow and dangerous time trying to get out of Snake Rocks without being bitten. Shouldn't have come so late. He grumbled to himself.

You need to make an Rp example up about the character you are trying out for.

If you already roleplay on this site, simply copy/paste a roleplay that you have already done, as an example of what skill level you are. <---- She said that, I didn't think I'd need to. I do already roleplay on this site. If that's not a good enough example of my writing skill then very well, I'll do it the other way and make a roleplay with Marbleface.
( I don't know all the cats in Windclan and I know there aren't any elders in Windclan, this is just an roleplay example. No other cat names will be mentioned in it except Marbleface and there will be an elder in here. )
A day in the life of Marbleface
Within the Medicine Cat Den an old black and white cat was chewing on daisy leaves, making them into a paste for his aching joints. He wasn't as young as he used to be. He made the leaves into a paste and rubbed it into the sore joints gently. After a pause they started working and his joints weren't as sore. He then stood up from his nest of moss and walked over to his herb pile. Marbleface had restocked on his herbs recently and could not have had better timing. Sickness was spreading through his clan, along with a battle that had left some injured. The cat who was wounded the most lay quietly nearby, resting. He grabbed a dab of cobweb and walked over to the warrior. He could smell and see infection forming in his fellow clan mate's wounds, one on his flank. He applied the cobwebs to a large scratch on the cat's neck that had been oozing blood slowly despite his earlier generous helping of cobweb. The added cobweb seemed to stop the bleeding at last. He smiled in satisfaction. Now for that infected wound on his flank. He hadn't been able to put many marigold leaves on the tom cat's wounds, he couldn't find any and now that wound was infected. He felt a stab of guilt for not trying harder to find some. He fetched some Chervil from the back of his herb pile, bit into it and put it onto the warrior's infected wound, letting the juice seep out of it. The cat stirred awake and grimaced in pain as the Chervil was pressed against that painful area. Marbleface was prepared for this though and had some poppy seeds at ready, he gave them to the cat who soon became numb to the pain and sleepy. Once he felt the juice was throughly into the wound he also added on a Goldenrod Poultice he had prepared earlier to most of the wounds to help them heal. A queen entered the den, carrying her kit. She set him down and gave Marbleface a sad look. "Do you have any honey? He's got a sore throat." She explained. The medicine cat nodded and went back over to his herb pile, he picked up a slab of tree bark, in the middle of it was a puddle of sweet yellow honey. As he walked over the Queen licked her kitten on the head soothingly. Marbleface set down the bark and coaxed the kitten forward. The kit was just old enough to not need help in taking a few licks of honey. He grabbed some Borage leaves and Feverfew then left the queen and her kit with the honey. He still had some sickly cats he needed to tend to. Just outside of the den under a bush lay a she-cat with a high fever. He touched his nose to her forehead, very hot he noticed. He prodded her awake and gave her both Feverfew and Borage leaves, she ate very slowly. He had to take several small trips to a nearby stream and back, wet moss clamped in his jaws. The she-cat was too weak to stand, let alone leave camp to go get a drink of water. After she had drank her fill an apprentice walked over to him with a pained look on his face. "I have a bellyache." He complained. Marbleface went back into his den, the kit was now sleeping, his mother lovingly watching over him. The medicine cat knew better than to disturb them, kits with sore throats had problems sleeping. Marbleface picked up some Catmint and quietly left the den. The apprentice was sitting outside. "Eat this, it'll help." He explained, dropping it in front of the younger cat. "I can't eat anymore, my belly hurts, are you sure this will help?" He mewled, uncertain. "Young cats these days, think they know everything." The medicine cat grumbled, more to himself than to the apprentice. "I have been curing bellyaches since before you were born, this will help." He assured, pawing the Catmint toward the apprentice. The young cat flicked his ears back at the Medicine cat's irritation with him, he knew better than to further question Marbleface. He ate the Catmint, slowly walking over to the apprentice's den to rest and wait for it to work. The medicine cat heard a familiar small yowl rang throughout the camp, no cat except him reacted, the Wind clan elder had a terrible toothache, it usually hurt worse in the morning if he accidental turned his head to the painful side he would wake up and yowl. Marbleface picked up some Alder bark and walked over to the Elders den. A small old tom sat there, mouth wide in a painful grimace. One of the elder's teeth had gone rotten. He gave the elder the Alder bark, this has happened almost every day now, something had to be done about that tooth. Marbleface's hopes were answered when the tooth was broken off suddenly as the Elder was chewing on the bark. Another loud painful yowl rang through out the camp. Marbleface's eyes showed nothing but he heart was leaping with joy as he went to grab some poppy seeds for the elder. The tooth was out now so he wouldn't need anymore Alder bark! As he returned he noticed a different apprentice pressing mouse bile against a tick in the elder's fur. He passed the poppy seeds off to the Elder then trotted off to the leader's den to go tell his leader the good news that Windclan's elder would not be yowling each morning anymore. Many cats would now be able to sleep without disturbance.

Thank you Katze, and yes, I know it'll be strange having one person with two medicine cats but it won't be permanent. =) She'll be back to reclaim her character, soon enough.
