Amberkit's Death: Blacknose's Death- Silent swaying. Silent wind. No sound but the own of the cat's heart. With a squeak of terror, Amberkit opened her eyes with a shaky start. With no idea where she was, the only thing she could remember was that, what seemed like seasons ago, she died. Remembering the last cat she had seen, Amberkit's whole body began to shiver. "Shadowsoul! Where are you?" With a little bit less of oomph, she added, "What happened to you...?" RiverClan... Her Clan.... She never lived up to become a warrior. That was her one big dream, and it was ripped away from her!

Twin pools of sparkling emeralds disappeared then reappeared as Shadowsoul blinked. His prey was in front of him, barely two feet away from the tip of his soft, pink nose. He inhaled slowly, not wanting to warn the unsuspecting mouse of his presence. Loneheart had deserted him. He was, again, alone. The midnight black brute decided to advance, since the mouse seemed to be preoccupied with the task of opening up an acorn shell to retrieve the pulp inside. Auds perked forward, he could hear everything within a short range;the soft Tchtchtch of the mouse's teeth against the hard outer covering of the acorn, the rapid breaths of the small creature, and it's long tail swishing umpatiently in the long stalks of grass, the vegetation quivering wildly as it did so. Quietly, and ever so slowly, the black tom put his paw forward, the soft padding barely landing on the grass and then- "Shadowsoul!Where are you?" Reflexes kicked in, and the tom sat up immediately. The mouse, of course, sighted the towering form looming over him and gave a shrill, excited squeak before turning around, bounding on all four paws towards the direction of a tall maple tree, and then disappeared from view-acorn and all forgotten behind. The towering brute immediately forgot about the rodent, and his curiousity was now prodded with something new. Who had that voice belonged to?He had heard it before. Somewhere, deep within the shadowed pits of his memory...That voice was possesed by some cat that he knew.He blinked slowly, trying to recollect his memory of the owner of that voice... "What happened to you?" He heard it again.Shadowsoul was sure that he had not imagined it this time.Auds swerved in the direction of the sound.Eyes scanned the field, sharp optics prepared to sight anything that moved. A twitch of grass here and there, signaling the movement of prey. But no blundering movements of a cat of any sort. He couldn't see anything...Yet. Now he payed more attention to the sound, rather than sight. The voice was shrill, high pitched. It wasn't cracked with age, or hadn't grown more deep toned as it would when one became a warrior. So that would only mean... "Amberkit!" The large, muscular brute exclaimed. He broke off into a full sprint towards the direction of the sound, now following his nose. Distant memories flooded his brain as a storm would overflow a large hole in the ground.Amberkit, the small RiverClan kit. He had spoken to her before, and despite his tainted past and reputation- she trusted him. Sure, she was simply a kit, but age only mattered when you were worrying about skills and abilities. Thinking capacity only depended on the feline who had feelings, and the large brute knew that Amberkit had trusted him, and he was grateful for that. Of all the RiverClan cats, the small kit seemed to be the only one who didn't care what others said about him. She cared, she really did. Shadowsoul could tell by the gleam in her eyes when oh-so-long ago he told her that he wanted to be the one to mentor her when the time came... But it never did. Shadowsoul could never forgive himself for letting her die, and just watching it all in a frenzied panic. He remembered that the Medicine Cat said she was going to be okay, but the brute didn't believe a word of it. Could it have been something other than on the outside?Maybe an internal injury? They could never tell. She died, and everybody was puzzled as to why.A few moons later, Shadowsoul disappeared. Nobody knew why...Until they found his body a day later downstream in the river.

OOC: Ooooo. That how Shadow dies.... Nice. Also, Amberkit never did die, but I just had to kill her. ;D
IC: Amberkit sat with her head swerving from side-to-side. She had not seen any other cat yet, and she wished she had. This bleak, silent dream felt like it would never end. She knew it wouldn't. She was dead. This was now her life till something else should happen. What happens in life after death and then death again? She thought to herself. Do you simply just die and die again till you finally go black? What if... You never die? A lifetime of pure silence would truly drive Amberkit over the edge. And not being able to stop the pain with a quick death made it worse to think about. Thinking of death made her mind boggle. All of RiverClan had died. She knew it had been sometime afterwards in her death to have any of the time-standing cats' to be still living. What if they made a new RiverClan? What if the old one went away, but the new one still stands? That thought of killing off all of the old cats made Amberkit's heart buckle. She didn't really care about what happened to any cat in RiverClan. She knew none of them really liked her. Except one. Shadowsoul. The name kept ringing in her head. "Oh Shadowsoul. I trusted-- No! I still trust you! You were going to be the best mentor ever..." Her eyes closed. "What if I never see you again?" Thinking of nothing to ease the pain away, Amberkit laid down with her paws stretched in front of her. She let her head fall dazedly onto her chest as she drifted into even more deep silence.
