What am I doing here?
The first thing that came to the ghostly white pelted she-cat thoughts was that sentence.
Not:Why the friggin' heck am I dead?!
Not:Woah.It's really nice here.
Not:How did I die?
It was:How?
How was she here, in StarClan, the one place she wouldn't believe in, couldn't believe in...Didn't believe in. So how? How in Firestar's name was she here? She knew it was StarClan. She saw the dead ones, she saw her deceased father(whom she despised), and she saw the one person who she depended on the most.
Shadowsoul.
Her brother, her sibling, her kinship. They shared something more precious that no other could provide;blood. They had-or used to have- the same blood running through their veins. The thing that made them related, the one thing that seemed to connect them. They weren't in the same Clan, as Shadowsoul had been in River, but Loneheart had been in Thunder(even for a short while, before she became a loner). But when she had came to the lands of StarClan, while she was busy looking around at the star-coated scenary, shivers went up her spine the moment she heard that voice, that oh-so-familiar voice.
"Hey sis."
His voice breathed in her ear, causing her clever mind to go entirely blank for that one second. After all the situations that she had been ready to deal with, all that she had expected, all that came in surprise;this was the only occurance that her cunning brain just simply quit registering everything. When the only person who seemed to care greeted her at this unknown place.
But now she was alone. No surpise there. She always did better alone, she thought better alone, she hunted better alone. Why did she find so much joy in being reunited with her brother then, if she wanted to be alone only three minutes later?Pfft. Who said she was great on reunions? It was still Loneheart. She hadn't changed, and never would. She was simply troubling over the fact that she was here, in StarClan. She died a loner, didn't she? But....Maybe her loyalties always were laid in ThunderClan. Her body went somewhere, her mind wandered elsewhere. Maybe.
