The twittering of birds and the gurgling of the River seemed to be nature's way of expressing music, and the only other sounds came from the rushing of White Falls nearby. The tall stalks of grass swayed gently in the breeze, their stems making a small rustling sound as they rubbed against eachother. Sunlight spilled across the field, making it look as if it was a firey blaze.
The amber optics of the fourlegged creature on the ground matched that of the sunlit grass around her.
Great sunbeams illuminated the whole field, the wavering grass waving to one side and then another as the wind changed direction.
The creature got up to all fours, and at a better view it was now recognized as a cat. A Maine Coon, to be exact.
The powerful Maine Coon tabby's broad shoulders ripples with well-built muscles, and the coat of the cat was lit up in the brilliant sunlight. Audits were perked expectantly at a nearby quivering patch of grass, and a regular cat wouldn't know if it was either the wind or the scuffling of prey.
This cat seemed to know what she was seeing, so she immediately dropped into the hunting crouch. Making sure the prey's scent was blowing towards her, she carefully crept forward, belly fur scraping the ground. Her claws made a soft shink as they unsheathed against the dead grass below.
Now positioning herself properly, she leapt forward into the patch of grass.
The tall stalks whipped across her face as the wind suddenly changed direction, and right before Taintedstar landed on the prey, she was blinded by the tall stems of grass lashing across her eyes. Hesitating as she landed, the mouse sighted her and ran, the scuffle of the grass no longer seperable from the grass' wild lashing in the wind.
