The sun was sinking slowly down into the horizon, the glimmer of silverpelt was just now started to show itself in the sky above. The weather was peaceful, with no clouds to cover up a cat's view of the stars. Yet even in this serene place all felt cold for one certain Thunderclan tom, Snowmark. It was in late new leaf, very close to green leaf, it was warm and humid out, slowly cooling down as night approached slowly but still the cat felt as if he were buried in ice cold snow.
Lately he'd been thinking hard about his dead mother, who his father may be, he wondered if there were any cats alive out there that he could truly call his kin. Thunderclan had no knowledge of whom his father was, he wondered with a strike of fear if he was a half-clan cat, if he found he was he would never be treated the same again but he didn't know and neither did Thunderclan so they didn't treat him any different from any other pure clan cat, thankfully.
He had no siblings, no mother, no father, because of this, despite his whole clan being there he felt incredibly alone. This feeling made him very quiet around others, speaking only when spoken to, he had no mate to turn to for comfort in these times his heart feels broken.
Will I ever stop feeling so lonely?! I have Starclan and Thunderclan... He thought to himself, staring up at silverpelt. Now he felt a wave of jealousy wave over him. Every star is a warrior cat, look how many there are! They have each other to be with! He turned his gaze away from the twinkling stars and looked around. There could be adders anywhere now, though they wouldn't be coming up to sun themselves, they'd come up to hunt. His life could be in danger if he failed to see one and accidentally stepped on it while trying to leave Snake Rocks. For some reason the Thunderclan cat didn't care right now if he was bitten, he'd join Starclan, see his mother and maybe even meet his father. No, don't think like that you stupid mouse brain, Starclan knows, Thunderclan doesn't need a suicidal warrior! He growled to himself and stood up. I will stay with my clan and protect it, even at the cost of my own life. He thought to himself. Now he faced a slow and dangerous time trying to get out of Snake Rocks without being bitten. Shouldn't have come so late. He grumbled to himself.
