((As with the deputyship ceremony, I'm sorry this has taken so long. Unfortunately, however, I know that not all the kits that this ceremony is for are active. If you post with your kit, then that kit will receive a mentor. If you don't, the no mentorship ceremony for you, and the kit will be deleted.))
It was sunhigh, and Rapidstar walked swiftly back into camp. She deftly dropped her catch into the fresh-kill pile, two swallows and a mouse, and just as easily turned to leap onto Royalrock. As she gazed out over her clan, she saw many warriors consuming their fresh-kill in small groups. She saw some kits brawling playfully in the dust. It wasn't only the cat's who's motions were noticed by the leader. It was also the movements of the small prey running through the still, motionless trees. The lack of wind made it all the harder to hunt today, but it heightened the noise of the small animals, and that helped greatly to a hunter. Sighing, she turned her mind back to her clan, and called out. "Let all cats old enough to catche their own prey join together beneath the Royalrock for a clan meeting!"

[[Yeah! Crescentkit's apprenticeship! -dances-]]
The gleaming sun was high in the sky, making the air feel pleasently warm in the clearing of ShadowClan camp. Scattered shadows belonging to the clouds drifted slowly across the ground, and the slight breeze kicked up churning clouds of fine, brown dust. The inside of the nursery was shadowed, looking like it was filled with a black nothingness. That was soon proved wrong as a leggy, muscular kit bounded swiftly out of the blackness. Swirled grey fur now in the sun, he kit felt a wonderful, tingling feeling crawl up his spine. A dead leaf fluttering by caught his eye, and he sank to the ground, body tense. A front paw flashed out, snagging the leaf on his unsheathed claws. In one, swift movement, he was up on his paws, moving the leaf around with his large paws.
In mid-kick, he paused, as he heard Rapidstar's yowl ring out across the camp. Without one look back, he loped over to the Royalrock, steel-blue eyes gazing expectently at the she-cat leader. After all, he was six moons old, and had been counting the days until the time when some cats had been thinking he was to be apprenticed, along with his litter-mates. Heart beating quickly, Crescentkit's hope rose almost to the point of bursting. Please let this be the time!
---
In the warm heat of the sun, a silver-white tom had been dozing in the sun, after returning from a formidable hunt. Hearing his leader's call, ice blue eyes snapped open, and he quickly sat up. What did she say? Turning confused eyes toward the Royalrock, he realized it must have been an apprentice cerimony, for he saw one kit sitting beneath the great stone, and it looked very excited for this to be just any old meeting. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, the warrior rose to his paws, and padded over to beside the kit, where he sat himself down. Smiling cheerfully, he nodded politely to the kit, Crescentkit he thought, then turned his oculars back to Rapidstar. Iceheart, deputy of ShadowClan, settled in to listen to the words the she-cat had to say.

A small black figure sat near the nursary, his ears pricked in thought. Had he heard what he thought he had? Excited, he jumped to his paws and stepped toward the sound's source. Rapidstar stood on Royalrock, calling at the top of her voice for all of Shadowclan to assemble there.
Was it time? Was it his day?
He'd been through alot, with the death of his parents and even that, hadn't stopped him from thriving to be his best. He had vowed to himself, that one day he would show them all, he would show everyone who had made fun of him. Young Eaglekit, would soon become one of the best warriors in Shadowclan; one to be respected. He promised. Right now though, he'd have to go with just being a kit or even possibly, an apprentice and work his way from there. Nevertheless, he'd thrive above all odds and show every cat who he was. He shouldn't be mocked or threatened, just becasuse he was the only one left.
Looking excitedly at Rapidstar, he sat next in front of the pile, his ears pricked, at the base of the structure. He quickly turned and gave his coat a few rapid licks to make it gleam in the sunlight filtering into the camp, before returning his attention to Royalrock and it's occupant.

Anyone else? *cough Dawnstorm with Silverkit* *cough Spideh with Tawnykit* *cough Rosepaw with Gingerkit* *cough peoples who own Shadekit and Crimsonkit* Ya know what... If they don't reply by the 28th, I'll just have Eaglekit and Crescentkit's ceremonies.))

[Crimsonkit was Flamingstar's kit, and she's gone. So that leaves the others. Just ta clear up the matter :33 And perhaps we should let the kits be adopted instead of killing them off. I don't know if Rosepaw [the member] is still here, and I'd like to continue Gingerkit's and Tawnykit's relationship.]
"OhfargohfargohfargohYES!" The joyful yowl exploded from the nursery's entrance like the rolling boom of thunder suddenly crashing out of stormy and bruised clouds coating the heavens. It seemed strangely loud for any feline to have made it, and anyone watching the tiny, fluff-covered creature tumbling out of the milk-heavy shadows of the den where the kits and queens lived together would probable have been shocked at the puny size of the one who had created this amazing sound. Of course, the accoustics of the nursery, which was nearly empty of felines by now, had to be counted in the general reverbration of the noise, but it was mostly on the account of the she-kit's extreme excitement and the fact that she had simply hollered at the top of her lungs. Little Tawnypaw, nicknamed Tawny by most of her littermates and Mouse [though secretly] by Silverpaw, her older sister, was a minuscule bundle of clenched muscle and pounding energy. This was obviously apparent as she leaped upon an already bashed up leaf fluttering on the slight breeze crossing the camp [actually the one Crescentkit had dropped as he raced towards the Royalrock], tiny claws unsheathing and ripping at the frail material, her already slimming body curving around it so that it could not fly off in another direction. As she unrolled and gave a last bite to the leftover scrap of a thing, an infectious peal of laughter left her throat, still high-pitched and kit-like in tone, but already revealing the deeper, insistent tones of what she would sound like at adult age. Tawny swiftly placed a paw over her mouth to stop the chuckles from reaching too far and attracting glances, though a faint snicker still stopped her from speaking clearly, and then ran off towards the towering hunk of stone on which the Leader, Rapidstar, was standing as soon as it had stopped growing up her throat like a blooming flower in spring. She knew that this was the day. Her day, and others' day, but hers still. She would be apprenticed. No doubt about it. Finally, after these six long moons of waiting, she would be able to get her mentor and begin her training. Fighting, hunting, patrolling, and all of the other skills and rules that a warrior needs to learn and know. Yes, she would start what she had been waiting for all her life, along with Ginger, Crimson, Shade and Silver, and the other kits of the nursery. No more waiting, no more asking how old she was, no more putting it off as she played yet another game with her brothers and sisters... and no more jealousy, either. She was ashamed to admit it, but it was true. She had been jealous. But now she could put that behind her and concentrate on the work to come. As her rump settled onto the hard-packed ground and indigo eyes rose up in the air to fix the far figure of her Leader, her mind began wandering over the different mentors she might get. First of all, there's Mum and Dad. What are their real names again? Hazel... Hazelfern, that's it, and... and Desertfire. Hmm. Yeh, I'd be fine with having either of them as mentor. Those two cats had been the first she had ever known. There were others that she had seen around the camp, or else heard of. If she got a mentor she didn't know, then she'd just have to find out different things about him or her, be it she-cat or tom, and try to build up a relationship with them. Become friends. In her mind, it would be easier to get along then, and she would probably put more effort inside her work. She didn't usually care about satisfying someone who hated or ignored her. Who else is there? Oh, yeh! Rapidstar. Now, I would have to be one lucky liddle cat to get her as mentor. Chance in a million. Don't count on it. But even with these counsels given to her very own self, she couldn't help concerving an ember of hope inside her heart, just like nearly any kit about to get their mentor. Then there's Icehearted, the Deputy. I'd also need one big bunch of luck to get him to train me. Next up is the Medicine Cat. What's her name again? I know I can remember... it's... it's... hum. Oh, oh yeh! Dawnstorm! But I don't think I would like being Medicine Cat. Not enough to do. Ginger would make a great Medicine Cat. At her thoughts, the tiny kit gave a short nod of her head, signifying agreement in her own statement. Who's left now... there's Spiderbreath. I don't think I would like her as a mentor. I haven't heard much about her, but I know she's not very... social. Rapidstar probably won't give her an apprentice. Now... who else... boy, am I ignorant. There's... there's... Mystery! And Chaos. And Swiftclaw. Lessee... Mystery's a strange one, according to what I've heard. It would be fun to be her apprentice. Chaos, if I remember well, isn't trustful, and she's alone most of the time. I doubt she'll be happy if she gets an apprentice. And Swiftclaw... well, all I know is she talks to dogs. Funny thing. I hate dogs. Oh well. Probably 'cause everyone else does, as well. She's just different. Having looked through every name she could recall, Tawny turned her attention back to Rapidstar, and a fleeting hope that it wouldn't take too long zipped through her mind.

A large shadow slunk around the corner of the Royalrock, nearly melting into its dull hue. Cold, calculating green eyes stared out at the gathering crowd. Feroux allowed himself an inward shudder, Kits! he spat in disgust. Always whining and complaining. I hope I don't get one as an apprentice! The tom took his place at the back of the crowd, partially hidden in the shadows.
This was where Feroux liked to be, on the sidelines. It was where he could quietly manipulate without ever having to step out into the spotlight. It was the way he liked it.

Gignerkit bounded out to Tawnykit. "Is today the day?" she hoped. She was still slightly nervous about Silverkit. Would she still be hostile? "Who do you want to have as your mentor? I want Icehearted. " She looked on at her sister. "Or Mom or Dad." She didn't realize how long it would take for them to be warriors. She thought it would be a moon or two. No more than that. And she would be Gingerpaw! Gingerkit sat nervously kneading the gorund. No more stupid games! And Tawnkit would still be with her all the way. She looked at her sister again. We'll be together still, she thought to her. And we'll be great! They had defeated a fox already in their young lives. OOC: Sorry, the computer was FINALLY fixed. I'm a few days late, but...

((Nu meh charries ish no longer up for adoption. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccckkk... -evillaugh-))
((Okeeh. Here's the plan. I'll do the ceremonies for Crescentkit, Eaglekit, Tawnykit and Gingerkit. Crimsonkit, Silverkit, and Shadekit will die. I'll rp it...))
Rapidstar looked at the kits gathered beneathe her. Their excited eyes peered up at her, and gladness seeped into her heart. Just out of the blue, the world was right again. No responsibilities, no clan rivalries, no fussy cats demanding her attention. Nothing. She soared in the bliss surrounding her; floating in this wonderfully endless abyss. Silence was all around her, and even the prey stood still. Not a breeze ruffled her fur, nor an insect buzzed in her ear fur.
It was too much. Rapidstar couldn't survive in such unrelenting peace. There had to be something to do; someone to order; cats to think of. If there was none of that, what was there to live for? That peaceful bliss she had felt must have been the edge of StarClan's path. Suddenly repelled by the thought of leaving her clanmates, she opened her opts, suddenly discovering that she had closed them. One of the kits looked at her curiously, and Rapidstar moved onto the ceremonies. Parting her lips, she spoke the first words of the ceremony that had been held for countless amounts of kits before her.
"Crescentkit. The time has come for you to reach six moons, and you are ready to become an apprentice and to learn the warrior code. Before StarClan, I name you Crescentpaw, until you have proved yourself worthy of a warrior name." Rapidstar spoke proudly and smoothly, as if this kit was her own and was about to be apprenticed. "Hazelfern. As you are no longer required in the nursery, you are free to return to your warrior duties. You have proved yourself worthy as a kind and strong cat to this clan. You will mentor Crescentkit." Here Rapidstar paused, allowing the two to touch noses, as was the customary greeting of two cats who are now mentor-and-apprentice.
Hazelfern, surprised at this announcement, looked over towards where the kits were sitting. She quickly leapt up and walked over to the bunch. One, a gray kit-- now apprentice--, seemed to separate from the group. She bent down to touch noses with the small tom, thinking of all the training yet to come.
((Sorry, but I'd like to get all the ceremonies out, if you don't mind..))
Rapidstar turned away from this friendly exchange, and looked out over the crowd of cats beneathe her. "Eaglekit. You too have reached the age of six moons and are now able to begin training. Before StarClan, I name you Eaglepaw, until you have proved yourself worthy of your warrior name." A pause. A proud glint in the eye of the leader. Then she carried on. "Feroux. You have proved yourself a tough fighter time and time again in battle with your intelligence. You will mentor Eaglekit." Rapidstar paused again, but turned to the next ceremony.
"Tawnykit. You have also reached six moons. Before StarClan, I name you Tawnypaw until the time comes for you to recieve your warrior name." Turning, she looked towards another cat. "Crag, you have proved yourself worthy of an apprentice, and will mentor Tawnykit."
"And finally, Gingerkit, you have reached six moons, and are ready to learn to be a warrior. However, you are not selected for the path of a warrior. Dawnstorm has seen the sign, and you have been chosen by StarClan to take the path of a medicine cat. Tomorrow, you will travel to Highstones with Dawnstorm to recieve your apprentice name."
((I will rp Dawnstorm.. I don't think she is on here anymore...))

[[YAY! Silver! Choo ish meh mentor! -happy dance- And I'm soooo glad your back!]]
YES! YES! YESYESYESYESYES! A large toothy grin spread over the grey kit's chisled jaw, his cobalt blue eyes lighting up with excitement. Rapidstar had actually called his name! All those moons of waiting, and now his apprenticeship was finally here! His heart started thumping faster and faster, and soon the young tom looked as if he had returned from a long ordeal of somesorts. His kitten-fluff stuck out in swirles scattered around his body, and his long tail was held high with joy. He knew Hazelfern, she had just resently left the nursery from being a queen, and he had played with her kits sometime or another. Crescentkit's spirits soared; higher than any eagle flying across the mountains, higher than any cloud. Gigantic paws kicking up dust, he loped over to where his mentor was sitting, screeching to a stop, a dirty cloud of brown dust soon flew up into the air. It settled on his fur and he shook it off, coughing out the stuff that had gotten into his nose. Grinning widely, his steel-blue eyes gazed happily into the she-cat's optics, his 'GREATSTARCLANYES!' attitude projecting clearly out of his oculars. He raised his moist nose to his mentor. Already thoughts were fleeting through his mind, what would she teach him? Where would they go adventurning? The possabilities were endless, the kit had never been far out into the territories of ShadowClan, but he heard from the apprentices [who treated him well, he was bigger than some of them anyways] that ShadowClan's lands were stretched far and wide. This is it, thought the large kitten, the beginning of my real life.
