((Vweeee! Thankies! Oh, and a note to anyone and everyone: this cat's religion is not meant to offend anyone, I just thought it would be interesting to have a cat with a Twoleg religion, and Christianity just presented itself to me. Once again, PLEASE don't be offended.)) Name: Isiah Do you honor?: No Age: 20 moons Gender: Tom Appearance: In truth, had Isiah's former owners picked their cat's Biblical name aptly, they would've named him Joseph for his coat of many colours. Yellow, orange, mahogany, black, even traces of silver adorn this young feline's patchwork pelt. But when he was born, the family was reading the story of the prophet Isiah. So Isiah he was, and always will be. Enormous gray-green eyes peek out of a dark chestnut face, accented by the bits of silvery fur that swirl around near it. Over one eye, small tufts of tan fur rise in strange little tufts. The opposite cheek is covered with more of the same colour, spreading down his neck and onto his side. His body is still a bit plump from his time with the Twolegs, though if he stays out as a loner for very much longer that fat will disappear. His fur is still thick and glossy from the nutrients in the Twoleg slop and from being brushed everyday by them. He doesn't like to groom himself, though, so most likely his coat will become matted with time. His first battle scar is a small one, a still-pink gash on his left hind leg. ((And yes, I did base him on the picture!)) RP Example: Running. Isiah was running away from the only home he had ever known. The Twoleg kits had taken to throwing stones at him after his own Twolegs turned him out for not being a cute little kitten anymore, and they threw hard! For a long time he had borne it, staying close to his old home in hopes the Twolegs might reconsider their decision. They hadn't, and the young Twoleg toms had finally managed to wound him. In horror he had run away from them, blind terror obstructing his normally clear thinking. He didn't know where he was going, but neither did he know where he was. For right now, it was better to go on. Maybe he would find somewhere to sleep in the growing darkness, and staunch the ribbon of blood flowing from his left hind leg. Afraid of tripping and hurting himself even more, Isiah kept his eyes on the ground, soft and slippery after the rains of the previous day. Suddenly, he stopped, heedless of the cold. Pawprints! Pawprints meant cats, and where there were cats there was prey and a warm place to sleep! Running. Isiah was running towards hope. Clan: Loner Rank: Loner Breed: Tortoiseshell Personality: The best word to describe Isiah, I am sorry to say, is haughty. Stuck-up and snobbish, this headstrong young tom refuses to associate with anycat who doesn't share his religion. Seeing as he is most likely the only one of his species who believes this way, he is destined to become one lonely cat. He feels the pain of being cut off from others, and so he tries to convert others to his belief in one supreme being. Of course, that whole deal is unconscious. He thinks that those cats who don't believe the way he does will burn forever in a horrible place beneath this world. So, he tries to save them by convincing them to convert. Should he ever find a cat gullible enough to change religions (or a cat he likes enough to overlook their differences), Isiah thinks he would be the very best of friends. Being kind, sensible, loyal and a good listener are all things he attributes to himself. However, since he has never found anycat he deems worthy of his affection, there is no way to judge. History: Isiah is a kittypet. Or rather, he was once a kittypet. His owner turned him out of her home as soon as he was no longer a cute little kitten. When she dropped him off away from the city, he tried to convince himself that she wasn't really leaving him there. He found his way back to his old home in hopes that the lady would take him back in. No such luck. He stayed there for some time before the local boys drove him away with their sticks and stones. Before he was cast out, though, Isiah had a warm, safe home. His owner was a devout Christian, who read the Bible to him every night. Although he couldn't understand her strange yowlings, obviously somehow it got through to him, in ways nocat will ever understand probably. As he grew older, he began to believe the way his owner did. That there was one supreme being, the one that had created the world and all its creatures and now ruled over them from the heavens. He believes that when a cat (or any creature) dies, its spirit ascends to be with the supreme being -- if the creature believes this way. If it doesn't, then it is forced down below the earth to burn forever in a fiery torment. Pictures:
