Two pairs of amber eyes glinted from the shadows of the trees. One vanished without a trace; the other blinking on and off. A sharp hiss emerged from the blushes, a lean cat stalked out of them. Her fur was pure white, marked by only a black diamond on her forehead and bands on her feet. The young she-cat hissed again, and her negative mirror imaged leaped out of the bushes to land next to her. "They are coming!" The white cat hissed, her eyes chips of yellow flint. Her companion smiled, baring her ivory teeth, lashing her tail. "Let them come..."
-----------------------------
The blue-pelted she-cat with emerald eyes, shot open her emerald optics open. She had scented a strange scent, RiverClan territory...yet not...She bit her lower lip and tossed her head to her companions. She calmed her fears by telling herself, it must be one of the new RiverClan recruits. She then flicked her eyes over to the raging cliff, nearly feeling the rage of the water in her fur. Closing her eyes again, she lifted her head up, opening her mouth a small gap.

((Do we have to fight Night and Ice? I was looking forward to hissing at Aleen... XD Just kidding. More fun to fight! *evil gleam*))
Moonriver tread cautiously behind Mintsong. He caught the scent on the breeze quite easily. The scent of water from the falls washed out nearly every other scent that wasn't fresh. It made it easier to smell around here, although the mist that blossomed near the foot of the falls was a bit annoying when it thickened enough to prevent one from seeing. The scent was not of any clan he knew, although it was a bit suspicious that two cat-scents were travelling together. It was quite easy to smell that they were both she-cats, and could definetely not be mates. Moonriver swiveled his ears left and right, trying to pick up the faintest of sounds coming from the two cats. However, though the falls might clear the scents away, it also made it hard to hear over it's crashing roar. That's what made it easy to hunt up here. With a twitch of his whiskers, he signalled to his two companions that they were being watched. He didn't want to be caught on unawares, and be overrun by mere loners in his territory. ((Well, not exactly his territory, but you get the point.))

Mintsong frowned, her small mouth opening a bit wider, reveling small, pointed ivory teeth. She heard a soft tapping coming from the cliff of the falls, sounding like soft pawsteps. She was the closest one to the falls; she wasn't sure if she heard right, they might have been water splashing on the lower rocks. She paddled closer to the edge, the mist swirling behind her. Her blue-pelt melted into the swirling fog, her pawsteps lost in the roar of the rocks. ------------------------------------ "One separated; she's gone to the edge." The black she-cat materialized in front of her negative mirror image, her pawsteps light and swift. Though the frost she-cat would have fared better blending in the fog, the night she-cat had not been seen. They nodded and both disappearing into the mist on opposite directions. This time, their pawsteps were unnaturally loud, echoing off the trees. This time, alerting the Clan cats they were really there...

The tortoiseshell she-cat was aware of the other cats' presence moments after nearing the falls, though she thought nothing of it, preparing herself for a quick retort in case she needed it. Her thoughts where pulled back to the other felines all too soon, however, with Moonriver moving his ears, obviously trying to pick up the sound of any other cat and his whisker twitch. The fur on her back raised slightly, now consciously aware of the eyes watching them from the shadows... She forced back a shudder. Where and who were they, these hidden watchers? What business did they have watching her? Aleen was a huntress, stalker of small furry things that scurry about. This feeling of being hunted like prey was new, and not at all welcome. It took everything in her to act casual and not look around, searching for her stalker. Instead, she tried to concentrate on her companions. Seeing Mintsong near the edge, she hissed as quietly as she could, "no! Come back!" The hair the on the warrior's back was now visibly bristling as she called out to the other female.

A soft breeze drove the mist away, to revel the clearing and a pale blue pelt sitting on the edge of the cliff. Mintsong frowned, she had paced to the edge to find nothing, not the cat who's pawsteps she had heard. She couldn't heard the tortoiseshell she-cat call her back, over the roar of the falls. She felt the water spray over the cliffs, pelting her with the H20. She closed her eyes, enjoying the spray of the water, until a large on hit her smack in the face. Opening her eyes, she peered over the edge. She gasped, her body paralyzed with fear. She blinked her emerald optics, not believing what she saw. Ivory bones glinted evilly in the sun, bones of cats that had drowned before. Before her eyes, the foams of the waves submerged them, hiding them from view. Mintsong had been staring at the bones, then realization hit her, she was staring into the eyes of another cat. At least that was what she thought it was; it's coat and eyes were milky white. Her eyes glazed over for a moment, she was tipping over the edge. Come on in! Get rid of that heavy body, come in for a swim! Mintsong was pelted on the back by a huge force, giving the momentum to bring her falling over the edge. She yowled in alarm, unsheathing her claws to hold herself down; too late. Half scrambling, half falling, she dug her claws into the rock. It wouldn't hold long, she couldn't get a good grip. She yowled again in fear. Two blurs pounced on Moonriver and Aleen before they even got the chance to help her, digging their needle sharp claws and fasting they teeth onto their pelts.
((O.O I didn't mean to do that...Such a long post...Anyway about Mintsong seeing stuff, it's not that she is special or anything, it's just that you can see things in the water that isn't really there...))

((It's not really fair to say that the two cats even landed on Moonriver and Aleen. It's called power-playing. Don't do it again, as it's against the rules.))
Moonriver picked up the two cat's movements, and sensed their intentions the moment before the attack. His white body twisted to get away from the cat who had attacked him. As a result, the she-cat fastened on the fur on his back right before he rolled. Twisting ferociosly, he squirmed to get the cat off his back. ((I don't mean to powerplay here, but I can't say much else)) With a final wrench, he freed himself from her claws, losing quite a bit of fur from his back in the process. He didn't even turn to look to see his attacker before pelting to Mintsong's side. "Hold on," he whispered in her ear. His ocean eyes took on a determined sheen, as his pelt was slowly soaked with the foamy spray coming off the waterfall. His ivory fangs sunk into Mintsong's blue-green pelt as he tried to haul her up. He managed to get her up to a position where she could try and fight her may up with a decent chance of winning, before he turned to face the attacker. "Filthy coward!" he spat in her face. "Why attack a cat from behind if you want to win! We will not be defeated on our own territory."
((Okay... Which cat am I fighting? I won't mention the name of the cat in one of my posts, but it could be useful to know what pelt color she is...))

((Oh...I'm so sorry....I didn't notice before....I'm really sorry...)) Mintsong meowed a work of thanks before yelping, her foot slipping on a stone. She steaded herself, but the ice cold water drenched her tail fur, maching her shiver. She looked down and really wish she didn't. The waves that splashed against the wall, looked like cats, trying to climb the rock wall to her. Come on...We won't hurt you. Maybe ever help you out of that heavy body of yours... The blue-pelted she-cat's legs and paws went numb, her body froze and her emerald eyes were wide. The water didn't help; it had her slip farther into the gaping mouth or the falls. ----------------------------- The night black she-cat smirked, and lashed her tail. Her claws glinted strangly in the sunlight. Her amber eyes burned into the white warrior's blue ones. Her body was small and thin, not of an adult cat's standerds. "Any cat knows that in the game of Life or Death there is only way to wind; and that's with taking any chances you get!" The she-cat then lunged at Moonriver, her mouth curled to revel shap teeth.

Frozen in horror, Aleen watched Mintsong for a few heartbeats. Then, thinking she heard movement behind her, the tortoiseshell warrior began to turn. Immediately, she felt something heavy land on her back, followed by pain from something that felt like thorns pierce her through her pelt. Spinning around in a small circle as if she was chasing her tail, the she-cat attempted to free herself from the grasp of her attacker. Around and around the warrior went, dizziness not even beginning to set in, when she abruptly stopped and flipped forward, landing on her back and crushing the cat attached to her. Feeling the claws relax their grip slightly ((don't mean to power play, but I don't know how else to have it)) Aleen leaped up and spun around to meet her opponent, emerald eyes burning with the fierce fire of battle. "I'll turn you to crowfood!" the furious she-cat hissed. Unsheathing her claws and curling back her lips into a vicious snarl, she crouched down with great agility. Only seconds later her powerful hind legs had sent her hurtling through the air toward her white pelted enemy, this time ready to make her pay. Coward! The only thing the snow colored she-cat had proved herself as was an arrant coward. Even as one who had rejected StarClan, Aleen still knew what honor was, unlike this cat who ambushed from behind. The tortoiseshell could not think of a greater act of cowardice. Fury growing stronger inside her every moment, she prepared herself for the landing, at which time the real fighting would begin.

The white pelted she-cat smirked, apperently, being called a coward didn't affect her. She dodged and rolled out of harm's way, nearly slipping on the smooth rock surface. She snarled, her muscles tenced, ready for the tortoishell to come again. ------------------------ ((Cause Silverstream hasn't replied yet....I can't do anything about Night Thorn)) Mintsong yowled in alarm as she saw the small night cat lunged at Moonriver and Aleen battling the ice she-cat. She nearly slipped over, her body tiering out quickly, her body was for cutting through water, not holding onto bare rock. She watched hoping for her companions' safety.

Moonriver easily dodged the black she-cat's attack. Didn't she realize that he was as fit as any warrior? Especially with his new apprentice. His white pelt contradicted the black cat's so easily that they looked like long lost twins of eachother. One white, one black. One clan-born, one loner-raised. One proud, one sly. One day, one night. Moonriver did not notice the anti-resemblance one bit, and instead, his maw formed in a nasty snarl. Fangs as white as his pelt glinted in the pale sunlight. Claws sheathed, and unsheathed like a heartbeat, furious as their owner. Battle hardened muscles tightened beneath a thin, Green-leaf pelt. Moonriver sprang at the night-black she cat, and aimed to land on the she-cat's shoulders.
((I didn't mean to god-mode in saying that he easily dodged Night Thorn's attack, but I set him up pretty easily to get pinned...))

The night she cat slipped underneath Moonriver's belly, but getting a sharp slash in the process on her back. She let out a yowl of pain, nearly falling to her side. She manged to keep her balence. The cat's face contorted into one of pain, which turned into anger. Night Thorn lashed her tail, blood dripping onto the floor, waiting for Moonriver's next attack. --------------------------- Mintsong sighed as Moonriver dodged. She turned her worried eyes to Aleen to watch her battle.

As Aleen landed on the smooth rock, her unsheathed claws kept her from sliding almost completely and produced an unearthly screech. In one graceful movement, she turned to face her white-pelted opponent just as she was slowing. This time, she waited for the other feline to make the first move. She turned on her unblinking stare, trying to calm herself while intimidating the enemy. There was no point going into battle with a hot head, the young warrior reminded herself. That would only lead to unwise decisions. In a fight one wrong move could be the difference between life or death, and she was planning on living for quite a long time. Keeping calm and avoiding getting cocky would help her to achieve that goal. Teeth bared in a fierce snarl and emerald optics burning brightly as they glared at the other cat, the she-cat began to circle. There was no way she would be bested by this lowly rogue, one who either stole prey from the territory of others or lived on crowfood. No way when she walked on RiverClan land. Just try to prove me wrong, she thought fiercely.

((Okay, Mintsong, your posts have begun to slip, and I've let it go without comment, but unless I'm mistaken, it's 10 non-dialogue sentences per post. Technically, you've been posting roughly 5 sentences per charrie in your posts, but you are supposed to have 10 sentences per post. Since more than one of your cats is on the same thread, you have to divide it in order to avoid double posting, but you should still have 10 sentences per charrie, no excuses. Also: If this fight is ever to end, Mintsong, you have to do it. Otherwise, Aleen and Moonriver'll probably fight these cats to the death.))
Moonriver quickly tried to roll his snow-white shoulder a bit to cushion his fall after almost completely missing the night she-cat. A furious hiss escaped his throat as instead of cushioning his fall, his leg twisted awkwardly underneath him. He lay there for a moment, then stood up, wincing as jabs of pain shot up his foreleg. He gingerly took a few paces foreward, towards the cat he was fighting. Several fox-lengths still lay between him and his assasin, or so it seemed to him that she was an assasin. "Leave this territory. Now." His ocean-blue optics gave the black she cat a look enough to send even his leader cowering in fear. His face had hardened into an ice block, preserving the emotions of distaste and scorn written on his muzzle. No other emotion would show through now, not even one of his dear mate that Aleen had sought to enrage him with earlier. That fight seemed so far away now. Now that they had encountered tresspassers on a seemingly harmless hunt.
