((Sunpelt, Cirruskit is a she-cat. =) ))
Cirruskit's eyes were nearly bulging out of her head. "Yes, Taintedstar, I'm, I'm fine, I think." Rushing over to her denmate, Cirruskit buried her muzzle into Hazelkit's fur. Looking up, she saw Rainwhisper looking at her strangely. She shuddered at the thought that this cat would think she had anything to do with Hazelkit's near death experience.
"I swear I didn't have anything to do with this! If I would have saw her, I would've tried to stop her. I was just trying to catch a fish..." her large eyes pleaded with the warrior and the leader of her Clan. The white kit was frightened out of her wits and kept stammering. Cirruskit couldn't help thinking that the same could have happened to her. If she hadn't hesitated, she would have been in Hazelkit's position. The idea shocked her. So eager to impress Taintedstar, she had almost risked her own safety, and even put a friend in danger.
Trembling she laid next to Hazelkit to try to comfort her friend. It also helped in calming herself down. Voice still shaking, she meowed, "I-I'm sorry...."

"You have nothing to apologize about,Cirruskit." Taintedstar said calmly. She turned to Rainwhisper and narrowed her eyes. "Cirruskit had nothing to do with this, she was simply trying to impress me." She stated cooly, authority in her voice. She was about to say something else, then stopped. There was no need to defend Cirruskit at a time like this,so she turned back to Hazelkit and ran her rough tongue over her shady brown pelt once again, trying to get her heart pace back to normal. Her amber eyes rested upon Cirruskit for a moment, wondering if the young she-cat was actually okay-most cats were pretty shaken up after witnessing a near-death experience. Her mind snapped back to Hazelkit. The kit obviously needed medical treatment, but Taintedstar was wondering if the small morsel could walk-she seriously doubted it. For a few moments, she wished she was at the bottom of the River again, where the surface world was non-existant. It was amazing, how Taintedstar handled situations like this.Incredibly calm, she usually had an affect on the others-it helped soothe their thoughts and nerves.

((oop! Sorry! *slaps self*)) ((oh dear! I was reading that day, and I accidentally wrote Nightrain as Rainwhisper! I have changed my posts... I hope.))
Nightrain simply nodded. His eyes were expressionless, and his thoughts could not be read.(my siggy doesn't have a clear cut picture of him, but I couldn't get one, so I used that. He is all black.) His black pelt shone wildly in the sunlight, gleaming with hints of different colors from the shine of his skin oils. Nightrain kept silent, and padded over to the leader, eyes quiet. He remembered when he was only Nightkit, when he too had fallen into the river. Had his interference with the kit almost lead her to her doom? Nightrain shrugged the idea away, with a simple flick of his tail. He understood the kit's eager attempt to catch the fish, Cirruskit and Hazelkit wanted attention, though he expected more from Hazelkit. She was growing rapidly, at 5 moons old already. Nightrain watched, as the feeble child sat there, shaking wildly, her irritable mew sounding every so-often.
Hazelkit was glad to be out of the water. You could say that a million times over, and itt wouldn't mean a thing, but this time, it did. Her experience would mark her forever. Scarred for life, Hazelkit jumped to her feet, still shaking. When she landed, she fell face first, snout covered in dust. SHe shook it off, painfully trying to re-gain her energy. She desperatly wished to be bouncy and hyper again. This was very painful.
Hazelkit looked up into the eyes of her leader. So calm and collected during her times of need. Just what a leader needs to be. Hazelkit didn't know of Taintedstar's past, but even if she did, she thought that her idea of the rolemodel would be just the same.

“Let’s just get back to camp.” Taintedstar meowed somnolently. Her voice was strained with exhaustion and she appeared older than she truly was. Her dark amber eyes glinted with an emotion unknown to only the Clan cats. She looked back at the River and stared calmly at her reflection, a soft sigh emitting from her maw. There it was. Weariness. The RiverClan leader had to admit-she was working to hard. But nothing would prevent her from serving her Clan. Nothing.
”Do not drag your feet with weariness, young one, for the next day be harder than the one you are presented with. There shall be hardships in your life, but look forward to the rewards, and strive towards that goal. Only with hope you shall prevail over the difficult problems you are faced with in life. And only with hope shall you succeed.”
A soft voice whispered in her ear. When the Maine Coon turned to see who it was, all that answered her were the soft gurgling sounds of the River rushing by and the solemn gazes of the RiverClan felines standing before her. The dark amber opticals of the RiverClan leader narrowed as she studied each cat closely, and tried to think of whom that voice belonged to.It had to belong to one of these cats-who else could it be?
But none of the cats were within the range to rush in and rush out-let alone say anything in-between. The young leader looked around her again, and saw nothing but the familiar River and its surroundings. A few fish were jumping out of the water, but nothing out of the ordinary. Shaking her pelt roughly, droplets of water slid off the ends of her fur and into the air. Several globules of water seemed to dance in midair before finally colliding into the earth and settling into the soil below. Amber optics studying the drops closely, Taintedstar lashed her tail from side to side before looking back up at the RiverClan felines.
“Okay, enough of this game. Who-“
”You doubt that we spirits do not interact with Clan cats as well? My, I didn’t teach you as much as I thought, little one.”
The purring voice seemed to have a mocking tone to it now, almost amused. Taintedstar was immediately enraged with this trickery. What sort of deception was this?! Her ocher optics once again narrowed as she spun around in her frenzy-the simple attempt to find the source of this voice was driving her mad.
I need sleep... The weary cat decided. And without another sound, spun back around and padded silently back towards the RiverClan camp, flicking her tail as a signal for the warrior and kits to follow.

Nightrain and Hazelkit followed, leaving Cirruskit alone by the river. (see how to kill a rock or something like that). Nightrain dropped Hazelkit off by the nursery, and he could sware by Starclan that he heard a few moaning voices, and one queen even dare to say- "What has that bundle of mischef gotten into now? I thought she would be safe enough with Taintedstar!" At least the queen had passion for the kit, as does every queen. A kit is a kit, no matter how obnoxious it may be. Nightrain forced a smile, but his thoughts were elsewhere. He padded away from the Nursery, not really sure where he was going, and not really sure why he was sneaking into the reeds, but his paws chose his steps for him. Once hidden entirely by the reeds, Nightrain's eyes glazed a hazey gray. Dark thoughts rushed to him, of death, and deception. Fury, anger, rage. He suddenly saw no longer Riverclan reeds, but the Thunderpath nearby. He was looking from behind a Thunderclan tree. Why was he in enemy territory? He couldn't have traveled that far that quickly. Monsters roared by, and the grass around the black tom blew with the breeze that they gave off. A golden cat, beautiful and grascious put a paw on the Thunderpath. Nightrain automatically knew this was his mother. She took another step. Why was his mother wandering into Shadowclan territory. He wanted to scream for help, and tell her not to do it, but no matter how often he opened and closed his mouth, no words came out.
The sky was a grayish blue, and the she-cat was 1/2 way across the Thunderpath. Why was she going so slow? Did she want the monsters to hit her? It was an abnormally quiet day, and then a black head peered out of the bushes. It mreowed goodbye, and the she-cat nodded. Nightrain understood. His mother was Shadowclan. She was trying to get back to her homeland unnoticed. Running quickly may alert a patrol. Just then, a monster rounded the corner. It roared so quickly, and in a fury of raging round-legs, it came close to Nightrain's mother. Just then, an ebony cat, VERY young by the looks of it, pounced on Nightrain's mother. It must of been an Apprentice, but it's scent was not of any Clan that Nightrain knew of. The golden she-cat yowled to the traitor- "Bloodpelt! No! NO!" But it was too late. Shadowheart pounced on Bloodpelt, which knocked the traitor away from Nighrain's mother. (Bloodpelt is my Nightclan cat who has an obssesion with spilling Clan blood but is scared of thunder) Both Tom's wrestled for some time, but since Shadowheart was a warrior, Bloodpelt fleed, running towards Highstones. Just then, Nightrain noticed that he hadn't moved, however many times he wanted to pounce in and save his mother. He had controled himself.
Shadowheart padded to the center of the Thunderpath where a limp body lay lifeless. The scene was too drastic for words. Nightrain wanted to turn away, but his eyes were glued to the dead queen. Shadowheart yowled in distress, and padded away. Nightrain understood. The black tom who may thought ambitious and insane, was not. He was longing. Loving. Lost.
Just then, the vision clouded, and Nightrain saw himself in Windclan territory, but this time, the whole scenerio wasn't in black, white, and gray. This time, it was full color. Nightrain looked straight forward, and saw his father, whom he knew to be dead. Just then, Nightrain heard his father speak.
"My dear boy, I am so proud of you. I would love to tell you how much I miss seeing you in the Thunderclan nursery, and tell you why I had to give you up to Riverclan, but that is not why you are here. You only have a certain amount of time. "You may know already, and I surely hope you do know, of your sister in Thunderclan. Do you know why I chose such different names for you? Night and Sun? Opposites of each other, no? You are the dark one of the two, known by all, but this is not true. Dark is only evil because it is in denial. You must accept the light. You must accept the dark. Equality is the answer. Nothing else. You must accept that Sunpelt is your kin. You must accept that I am your Father. You must accept that Goldenleaf is your mother. You must accept that Rustlingleaf is your grandmother. You must accept it all. Nightrain, I can only have you here for so long, but I care for you enough to protect you by telling you this. Equality is the answer. Whatever you face in the upcoming moons, Equality is the answer. Evil is twisted, and insanity is so as well. But this is only because we deny the darkness. You must accept the light and the dark, and accept what your destiny is. "Son, I know you have the light. Otherwise you would be as evil as Bloodpelt, and would not care for Goldenleaf's death. You will grieve for her, and that memory of yours proved it." Shadowheart said, but Nightrain interupted him. "Mine? I was once a kit of Thunderclan?" Nightrain asked, taking a step closer to Shadowheart. But his question was not answered directly. Shadowheart sighed and said- " We do not always make decisions for the best. After Goldenleaf died, I thought that you and Sunpelt would see your similarities, and break beyond Clan differences. But I was wrong. Your mentors trained you well, and you are loyal to yourself and your Clan above your kin. I should have forseen that. You had followed me from the nursery one day, and I wish now that you would have done it any other day." Nightrain asked this time a more random question, "Why are we in Windclan?" Nightrain said calmly. Shadowheart smiled. "You take this better than your sister-" He began. "You told my sister too?" Nightrain yowled, jumping into the air. Shadowheart laughed. "Yes. Yes. I am glad you think kindly of you. Unfortunately, she doesn't think the same towards you. Anyway, about Windclan. This is your grandmothers;my mother's territory. She lived here for many long years. I barely knew her, and a disease made her forget she ever had me and my kin. " Shadowheart said, but then, the comforting smile faded from his face. " There will be many battles here. Over territory, over prey, but mainly over Blood. You must understand one word, and one word only to make it out alive. Can you guess that word?" Shadowheart asked. Nightrain blurted out the answer without thinking. "Equality." "Correct." "Why are you telling me all of this? Why should I know?" "Because you are my son. I love you. I can't see you die when I know that there is something I could have done." "Can't you tell me what I am going to fight?" "No son... That is all the time I have, and that is all I am allowed to say...." Shadowheart said, and as she spoke, the Windclan territory swirled away, fading into the reeds that surrounded him. (sunpelt had this same thing under the Bringing the Kill thread in Freshkill pile, Thunderclan)
Unlike Sunpelt, Nightrain had not fought his father, so he had lie there limply, eyes gray. He never knew how much time he had spent with Shadowheart, or what or when he would be fighting the evil. The force. The denied.
(Do you mind if Taintedstar stumbled upon him, while he was limp, muttering something, it would make it a whole lot more interesting.)
