Silverpaw turned around to see Strongpaw. With his brother close behind. "Hey!." She meowed. "Congratulations to you too." She was smiling. She was so excited. She grew up with Demonpaw, and Strongpaw, and now they were apprentices together! She couldn't wait to get started, hunting, fighting for the clan, even helping the elders, she couldn't wait for. She saw the pride and excitement, in Demonpaw and Strongpaw, as much as hers. She rubbed her muzzle against their pelts. "We get to sleep in the apprentices den!" She meowed happily.

Poisonclaw watched as Demonpaw bounded off with his brother and Silverpaw with a smile. He wished that he could have their same energy; that playful cheer, that spark in their eyes. And while he still had fun and the flame of battle raged inside him, age had dimmed that cheerful spark. Poisonclaw chuckled and went over to his mate, laid down beside her, and they shared tongues.
Ironpaw looked over at Silverkit bouncing with Demonpaw and Strongpaw. He had to admit, he wished he could be friends with the she-cat. She was so kind and was very beautiful, but know that they were both training, he probably wouldn't get to know her that well. Ironpaw padded over to the trio and smiled at them, congradulating them on their new status in the clan. "I was about to go get a piece of fresh-kill. Would you three like to eat with me?" Ironpaw stared at all three of them in turn, seeing the group of friends in a new light. Before they had just been a group of kits, but now, it seemed...different. Demonpaw, quick and strong, Stronkit, thoughtful and intellegent, and Silverkit, beautiful and independent. It was as if the cats had morphed, realizing their new responsibilities as apprentices. Ironpaw just smiled.
((Very cheesy, I know. My brain died today and I'm straggling for a post.))

Silverpaw couldn't wait to get started on her apprentice work. She bounced around with Demonpaw, and Stongpaw. The she heard Ironpaw ask if they wanted to eat with him. "Sure." Silverpaw meowed. She was excited she got to eat with and as an apprentice. She followed Ironpaw to the fresh-kill pile, and picked out a mouse. She sat next to Ironpaw eating her mouse, hungrily. The feeling Silverpaw had was like no other, she couldn't believe she was an apprentice, yet her she was. She was going to train as hard as she can. She would do everything her mentor told her. She knew some cats thought it work, but she felt like she was going to have the best time hunting, helping the elders, training to be a warrior, she couldn't wait. She had no doubt that thats what the other apprentices felt like too. She finished her mouse and started grooming herself. She was an apprentice, eating with an apprentice, nothing could bring her down.

Ironpaw looked over his vole at Stronpaw. How lucky to train with Snowstar! But Ironpaw had no regrets about his mentor. rippedbelly was a great medicine cat, and Ironpaw could only hope to live up to her one day. But Firen and his father would mentor Demonpaw and Silverpaw just as well as any leader could. "So, how are you guys feeling about being apprentices? Excited? I heard Poisonclaw saying he'd start training tommorrow with Demonpaw, do you two know when you're going to start with your mentors?" Ironpaw looked at them quizically. He loved their energy and excitement; it made him laugh at himself. Could it have only been a moon or two ago when he was so excited about earning the name Ironpaw? Now, it was part of everyday life. But what did he care? Let the cats bask in their own joy, what was wrong with that. Nothing. In fact, the forest could use more of their cheer, it would be very helpful to everyone to have a little less fighting. Ironpaw couldn't help but laugh.

Snowstar chuckled, amused by his apprentices' eagerness to begin. " Tommorow", he began. " Get up bright and early, I'll be waiting. Meet the other apprentices and have a good time. Explore the camp a bit if you like. " The leader grinned, and blinked gently at the young tom, happy to see him so exited. All the new apprentices were overexited and the white tom let out another good-hearted purr, laughing as well. With a flick of his tail, he turned and made his way back to his den, thinking what to do.
However, he stopped in midway and turned around, his blue orbs staring right into those of another appretnice, who had only gotten his name a few times before. If the cat hadn't chosen the path of a medicine cat, then maybe Ironpaw would have been his own apprentice, but alas he was not. Strongpaw, would make a good apprenitce none the less and he knew that if any of the others had been picked, then they would do the same as well. Strolling over to the tom, who had been talking so gleefully with his peers, Snowstar waited for them to finish their conversation. He caught the tom laugh, and he smiled. Even if it only was a moon ago or two, the tom seemed to have changed so much. He'd been captured by twolegs, and he'd survived, brought back by his parents. During his ceremony, Snowstar had seen that he had been both surprised and exited, just as these new ones were, to start his training. But now, Ironpaw seemed as calm as ever. And that was good thing. Now he could teach the others, even if their paths were different. Fernpaw and Fawnpaw would do the same, of course, but Ironpaw seemed to already share a bond with these apprentices: particulary Silverpaw, for he was sharing a meal with her.
" Ironpaw? When you're done with that, could you show them to the other apprentices and introduce them? Thanks, Ironpaw."
Turning around, he made his way yet again towards his den with a smile on his face, beaming. When he had become leader all those moons ago, when Flamingstar had died, he thought he wouldn't be a good leader at all and someone else should have. Snowstar thought he wouldn't be happy again, nor would ever have the confidence to stand up to the clan. But, now he did all those things. Everytime he saw a kit, apprentice, warrior or any cat of his clan enjoying themselves, that sent a smile on his face. That also showed he was doing a decent job with Thunderclan. Flamingstar would be proud.

Ironpaw laughed, and it made Silverpaw giggle. She admired him he was calm while she was acting like a bouncing kit. But she couldn't help it, she was so excited. "Yeah, I am excited." Silverpaw meowed. Silverpaw watched as Snowstar leaped down from the rock. Stongpaw was lucky to have him as a mentor, but she had no doubt that Firen would be a good one too. When she heard Snowstar telling Ironpaw to introduce us to the other apprentices, she got even more excited. Her pelt rippled with excitement. Today was one of the most happy days in her life. She watched the camp as she waited for Ironpaw to finish. She saw her mother starting for the warriors den, she wondered why she wasn't going to the nursery. Then it hit her. She doesn't have any more kits, she gets to go back to the warriors den. She gets to be a warrior again. She couldn't wait to see how she did as one. Now Silverpaw grew even more excited, which she had thought was impossible, but it just happened! She couldn't wait for Ironpaw to introduce them. She looked at Ironpaw noticing he looked very handsome, and he was vey smart. She watched him as he ate. Even though it was not that long ago that Ironpaw had become an apprentice, he seemed wise. He also seemed to know how she felt, becoming an apprentice for the first time.
