"Hm." Brokesoul mumured, padding to the spot Fireplet had pointed to.
"It smells..." His fur bristled. "Yes! But stale, not to longe ago though..."
The tom growled out the words like the Riverclan cats have killed someone he knew, though it was just Sunningrocks... He had to be more loyal to his clan, fight for territory, and obey the Warrior code. And that's what he's been doing ever since Brokensoul joined Thunderclan.

Firepelt warily eyed Brokensoul. He wondered why the cat had so much hatred towards RiverClan. Although this mean he would be a great cat to partner with in a battle against RiverClan, it also worried the orange-pelted cat. Making a mental note to keep an eye of Brokensoul if RiverClan ever was brought up, Firepelt checked out the rest of Sunningrocks.
"Yeah, it seems stale. Still, it'd be best to tell it to our leader. We don't what they were doing over here."
Scoping out the area, Firepelt came across a pile of bones from a vole, about half a day old. Calling the other cats over, Firepelt showed them the eaten prey. "What I don't understand though, is why they would steal prey from us when they have a riverfull of fish!" Firepelt narrowed his eyes.
If they are planning to weaken us, it won't work. No, it won't work.

Brokensoul padded over, staring hostily at the bones.
"Oh, only Starclan knows..." Snarled the tom.
"It's becoming crowfood. Ah, it stinks." He said, flickering his tail, making a disgusted face. He looked over at Fireplet agreeing once more to him; that they should tell their leader. He remembered when he just joined Thunderclan a commotion was around not only about him, but that Riverclan was trying to take back Sunningrocks again. Maby that's why he felt so hostile toward them, though he didn't know...

"Only starclan..." Snowclaw repeated rather quietly. With a rinkled up nose The young deputy padded over the pile of bones and prodded it with his paw. He than murmered “We should go show this to flammingstar"flicking his tail toward the bones. Than he looked at the rest of the warriors waiting for their ideas and added "Come on lets go!". THen the white warrior picked up the bones with a disgusted face and began padding toward camp.

Anger and hatred burned in Shatteredheart's peircing emerald eyes.A low growl formed in her throat as she looked the bones over. The growl suddenly stopped.Something was...Unfamiliar about the scent-as if it wasn't all RiverClan.
She sniffed the bones again, then nearly yowled in surprise. The bones didn't smell all RiverClan! In fact,it barely smelled like the cats of the River at all!
Though hatred would burn in her heart forever for the RiverClan-for reasons unknown only to others-Shatteredheart had to admit.RiverClan was being framed, and to confront them with it would only make matters worse-Taintedstar may accuse ThunderClan of framing them.
They had no proof, other than the ever-fading half RiverClan scent, that would pin Taintedstar's Clan down to this. Either it was a cat who had recently been on RiverClan territory,or the work of some other force. My catnip's on NightClan... She thought darkly. But....What if she didn't point it out to the others? What if....She let them think it was RiverClan? Brilliant, Shatteredheart thought, eyes glinting in the sunlight filtering through the trees. Absolutely, positively brilliant.

Firepelt followed Snowclaw, who had the bones, and the other cats. In the rear, he was thinking to himself. It hadn't smelled quite right. Sure, it seemed like RiverClan scent, but a cat could never know. There was something odd in the way it smelled. Even how it looked was strange. Cats who stole prey from other Clans never let it waste. They ate the whole thing, for if their Clan got in trouble, at least it wasn't over wasted fresh-kill. Yet these bones looked all wrong. There were chunks of meat still on the bone, and they still contained blood. No, it didn't seem right, even for a well-fed RiverClan cat.
I'd better discuss it with Snowclaw or Flamingstar. Something about this is definately fishy.
He noticed Shatteredheart had looked funnily ((is that a word?)) at the bones. Was she perhaps wondering the same thing as he?

As they reached the camp SnowClaw dropped the bones onto the ground in the snow. He prodded the pile of bones and sniffed them once more. With a disdainful sniff he reconized that they not only smelled of riverclan, but also of something else he couldn't pinpoint."Maybe another clan?" he thought and after sniffing the pile once more he knew at once what it was. In his mind he exclamied"NightClan!". The bones had chunks of meat and were all bloody so he was sure that riverclan didnt do it. The young deputy bared his teeth for a second and looked back at his patrol. SnowClaw had noticed that Shatteredheart and Firepelt had been acting weird. Was it possible that they had noticed this to?" the white warrior thought as he saw Flamingstar walking over to them.

Firepelt sat alongside Snowclaw. He'd noticed the cat sniffing the bones carefully. Surely he wasn't alone in his thoughts. Flamingstar was a few foxlengths away. Before mentioning anything to their leader, he wanted to discuss it with the deputy.
"Pssst!" Firepelt mumbled. "I noticed you gave the bones an extra careful sniff. I'm thinking that you're thinking the same thing as I am. It obviously can't be Riverclan. While a first scent would point to them, any further examinations would point away from them. This isn't right. Someone must be trying to frame them. I can only guess who, but I think I have a pretty good idea...." Making sure Snowclaw had heard all he had to say, Firepelt asked the most important question. "Do you think... well... NightClan?"
Firepelt anxiously sat there and waited for his deputy's response. If Snowclaw disagreed, Firepelt would surely look like an idiot. If he did agree, though, they might be on to something. Then they could decide whether or not to tell Flamingstar about their thoughts. He was sure Shatteredheart was thinking the same, as well.

SnowClaw turned at Firepelt's question. He was right, he couldnt be the only one that had noticed that these bones weren't RiverClans. Then he murmered to the tom "Exactly! NightClan has probaly framed RiverClan!". Than after making sure that Firepelt had heard his words he hissed "We have to report this to FlamingStar! Who knows what nightclan is planning to do next?". The young deputy mumbled a last word to him " Do you think that they know?", flicking his tail to Shatteredheart and brokensoul. Before Firepelt could replythe young deputy sat up stright as he detected that the thunderclan leader was getting closer to them. Before their leader reached them he poked the bones once more to see if there was anything else that they could find from them.

Firepelt, aware of Flamingstar padding closer still, whispered a few last words to Snowclaw. "Of course I think Shatteredheart does. I'm not too sure about Brokensoul. His anger towards RiverClan seems to be blinding him from the other evidence that it isn't them." As he finished, the leader stopped in front of them. The orange cat waited for the deputy to report this to Flamingstar. Although, maybe Snowclaw wanted to discuss this with the leader privately, in the Leader's Den. Whatever his friend decided, Firepelt would follow his lead. He was, after all, the deputy.
Firepelt threw a quick glance behind him. Shatteredheart seemed to be contemplating something. He saw an idea flash across her face, but then get discarded as her face returned to an expressionless look. Moving along he watched Brokensoul. Pure fury darkened the cat's eyes. Clearly he hadn't noticed that this was the work of NightClan.
Why is he so angry with RiverClan? Firepelt wondered. I would hate to be in the way of him if he ever let his anger control him...

Flamingstar padded out of her den. She yawned and smelled the morning air. A beautiful day she said to herself. Then she spotted the cats and the bones. " What are those?" she asked her Deputy. Flamingstar sniffed the air. The bones smelled like ThunderClan prey, but a few cats from another Clan ate it. NightClan she thought to herself angerliy. Why would NightClan be steling our prey? They should have plenty of their own, it's not leaf-bare. Those maggots! she thought to herself while waiting for the relpy.

SnowClaw took a breath and looked stright up at his leaders eyes, Than he meowed "We found these near the RiverClan border and see the chunks of meat?" poking the bones with a forepaw. Than the deputy continued "We think that nightclan have been stealing our prey and framing RiverClan for it." SnowClaw didn't bother asking to go into the leaders den to talk privatly. He would need Firepelts support, for this conversation and he knew that Shatteredheart also knew this, but for some reason she was hiding it. The white warrior looked up at his leader and sat down waiting for a reply.

Firepelt nodded as the deputy spoke. He watched Flamingstar's eyes as Snowclaw spoke, waiting for some reaction. At first the eyes yielded none of the cat's feelings, but as his friend spoke, he saw fury flicker across the leader's eyes. It was obvious to anycat that this clearly wasn't RiverClan's doing. It was easier to figure when someone laid the facts down on a ground in front of you. He knew the leader would agree with them. Firepelt had no question of Flamingstar's intelligence.
With a flick of his tail, Firepelt decided to start on where Snowclaw left off. Flamingstar hadn't said anything yet, and the silence was getting to him. "At first, you wouldn't know it was NightClan. It had RiverClan scent all over it. But the other signs didn't lead to them. It was just too weird, and there was some other lingering smell, that didn't seem to fit." Awaiting his leader's word, he added, "What do you think?"

Shatteredheart watched the cats' conversationg with the leader and deputy with narrowed eyes. Apparently she wasn't the only one who had noticed the strange scent on those bones. She spat under her breath, her plan had gone awry. It seemed like the cats were one step ahead of her and had already figured out that the boned might be from NightClan.
She listened intently as Firepelt tried to explain to their leader about the bones. Part of herself agreed with the tom, she wanted to let the leader know. But the other half of her was screaming rage, she had wanted her Clan to think the bones from RiverClan. She had wanted to attack them. Shatteredheart unsheathed her claws, digging furrows in the ground as she kneaded them in and out in anger.
((I am sorry! I still don't fully understand Shatteredheart's character. Apologies to Loneh, if you don't like it, tell me so I can delete it and you can fill it in with something better. Apologies to everyone else as well. I can no way match Lone's talent in RPing, but thank you for letting me try.))

Flamingstar looked at Snowclaw, her green eyes filled with confusin. "I think NightClan has something to do with it, but why would they try to blame RiverClan? Why would NightClan steal our prey? They probably have plenty of their own," she meowed confused. NightClan would steal prey from other Clans even know if they did have plenty of their own she said to herself. "Did you find anything else like this?" Flamingstar asked. She then moistened Snowclaw and Firepelt to finish their talk in her den. The whole Clan had gathered around them. She didn't want her Clan to be worried.
